'Car Collides With Spectators At Rally'

At least two spectators have been injured during the Highland Car Club Snowman Rally in Balnain, Scotland.

Police said it appeared a car involved in the event left the track and collided with people in the crowd.

Emergency services have been at the scene after the apparent collision took place during the first stage of the rally.

The event in Glenurquhart Forest has now been called off.

A statement from Northern Constabulary said: "Emergency services are currently attending an incident at Stage 1 of the Highland Car Club Snowman Rally at Glenurquhart Forest, Balnain.

"The event has been abandoned and members of the force's Road Policing Unit are in attendance along with members of the Scottish Ambulance Service.

"From initial information it would appear that a car involved in the rally left the track and collided with spectators.

"At least two people are known to have been injured, however, there are no further details at this time."
