A 16-year-old girl has been arrested in Manchester on suspicion of planning terrorism offences.
The teenager was held after officers from the Tactical Aid Unit and North West Counter-Terrorism Unit executed a warrant at a house in Clee Avenue, Longsight, on Friday.
Officers suspect the girl of "engaging in conduct in preparation for acts of terrorism".
She has been bailed until 28 May.
An eyewitness told the Manchester Evening News the road was "full of terrorist police" at the time of the girl's arrest.
The ongoing investigation is not thought to be related to the Rochdale family detained in Turkey for allegedly trying to cross into Syria.
The five adults and four children were arrested on Wednesday and are due to be deported back to Britain later.
Police have searched three properties in Rochdale and two in Heywood as part of the inquiry.
