Stars of the film and music world have spoken out in support of Sir Elton John's boycott of Dolce and Gabbana after their comments about IVF-born children.
The singer, who has two sons with husband David Furnish, ripped into the Italian fashion designers on Instagram saying: "How dare you refer to my beautiful children as 'synthetic'."
Domenico Dolce's and Stefano Gabbana's remarks were attributed to an interview with Panorama magazine in Italy, where they criticised same-sex families and the use of fertility treatment.
Responding to the boycott, Mr Gabbana said in a statement that "it was never our intention to judge other people's choices. We do believe in freedom and love".
But the gay designers' comments have already prompted a wide backlash.
Hollywood actress Sharon Stone tweeted: "To spending [sic] time raging against a closed mind is to waste oneself, a self that can be better spent loving where that love has been removed. #boycottdolceandgabbana."

Chief executive of the LGBT rights charity Stonewall, Ruth Hunt told Sky News: "We strongly dispute the comments made by Dolce and Gabbana. Being a good parent has nothing to do with sexual orientation or whether a child has two mums or two dads. The important is a loving family, whatever its make up."
Mr Dolce and Mr Gabbana's full comments in the interview read: "We oppose gay adoptions. The only family is the traditional one.
"No chemical offsprings and rented uterus: life has a natural flow, there are things that should not be changed."
Mr Dolce said that creating children "must be an act of love", adding: "You are born to a mother and a father - or at least that's how it should be.
"I call children of chemistry, synthetic children. Uteri (for) rent, semen chosen from a catalogue."
In an interview with Italian newspaper Corriere della Sera, Mr Gabbana said he did not expect Sir Elton's reaction and the #boycottdolcegabbana hashtag.
"I did not expect it from somebody I considered – I stress, considered – intelligent such as Elton John. First you preach understanding, tolerance and then you go on the attack? And simply because somebody has a different opinion?"
